Roly-Poly and the Light Book Event– March 10th, 2022 from 5-8pm at the Give Back Boutique’s monthly Girls Night Out evening. Author L. Leigh Love will be at Give Back Boutique for a book signing, reading and Q&A with her newly published children’s book, Roly-Poly and the Light. Author sample reading from Roly-poly and the Light with Q&A to follow at 6:30pm. Softcover and hardcover copies available for purchase at the event, with $1 per book sold being donated to Give Back Boutique. Come early and shop the store to find great high-end clothing items and accessories! Light snacks and wine. Open to the public.
Roly-Poly and the Light is for anyone who has ever felt different. It is an uplifting story of a child’s chance encounter and then friendship with a very unusual roly‑poly, Ayla, who shares wisdom of valuing the self, our differences and connecting with others. At any age, this story enlightens us on how to appreciate our uniqueness, similarities and our differences. Give Back Boutique is an upscale consignment shop that supports work in bringing local families and individuals out of poverty into self-sufficiency. The store offers both designer brand name labels and excellent quality clothes, purses, shoes and accessories. When you consign, donate, volunteer or shop at the boutique, you are supporting this important effort. Founded in 2011, the Give Back Boutique has raised thousands of dollars to help break the cycle of generational poverty through the excellent work of the Mooresville, NC Christian Mission. It started with a group of women who were inspired to “do something” after attending a workshop about poverty.
