Healing Components and Tools

466Healing Components

For guidance in helping you get the most out of your next healing session, here are some basic tips and components. These can be used with any healing modality (i.e. energy work, acupuncture, massage, EFT, yoga).

Awareness

The first step, before anything, is awareness of a state of disharmony or disease. Healing first begins with the awareness and then an action to address. This can be in different areas of the physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, etc. Taking time to check in and review areas of your life is helpful and a great starting point. For deeper trauma, sometimes healing involves acknowledging, as well as honoring the depth of what you’ve experienced.

Identification- Awareness helps us know something needs restoring. Identification helps us target ‘what’ is in need of healing. Also, it is helpful to know what is ours and what is others, or the collective. Start paying attention to your own energy and be very familiar with that.

The method of healing can differ. Some times it is expression, gratitude, stillness, openness, solitude, action or inaction.

Some healing tools:

Being in a relaxed state benefits all methods of healing. When we are tense, we constrict our energy. This impedes the flow of ki, or life force energy. Being in a relaxed state greatly assists the healing and re balancing process. Also, taking deep breathes helps. Providing a relaxing environment for your clients is essential. Alternatively, relaxation during a session is essential for maximum benefit.

Allowing is essential – release the need to control. whether you are engaging in healing techniques for yourself or utilizing the assistance of another, it is important to be in a receptive and allowing state. Allowing in the energy to flow helps the energy get to where it is needed.

Releasing and letting go– As energy flows, it is important to release and let go of whatever ‘gunk’ is there, to allow for the new. Holding on to grudges, judgement, guilt, resentment, anger, etc. will only keep you stuck and tied to that energy. It continually feeds the sore and wounds. Where is your focus? Where are you putting your energy? Identify what it is you need to heal and then learn to let go. Surrender. Align with the divine.

‘Seeing’ wholeness. – use your ‘inner eye’ to see wholeness. Hold an image of yourself completely healed. Furthermore, this helps imprint and energetically attract it. Hold a high vision of yourself and others.

Feeling healed – Take a moment to ‘feel healed.’ This helps us move towards and embody the goal. Also, you can use your feelings to help obtain this inner quality.

The greatest healing tool of all…Love. Keep in mind that true healing involves love and compassion for yourself and others.

These steps will help assist in the healing session as well as guide and facilitate your best healing path.

There is a misconception that another person can heal you.

The reality is that you are healing yourself through the assistance of another.

You are bringing in and allowing the work that is needed to restore balance and health for yourself. The times that I have needed help, I related it to asking someone to helping me move a couch. It’s much easier with the assistance of another. There are just somethings you can’t (and aren’t meant to) do alone. We’re all here to help each other.

I’d be delighted to work with you on your healing path!

Sending light and love,
